The Center for Ophthalmology at Mansoura University alone is of a special nature that extends to financial, technical and administrative independence. Academically, it follows the Faculty of Medicine with regard to the affairs of faculty members.
The center was opened in 1994 to provide medical and community services to all Egyptians from the Delta to Upper Egypt
By providing distinguished and advanced health services in the fields of eye diagnosis, treatment and surgeries, which are in line with achieving the “2030” vision pursued by the Egyptian government and focusing on improving the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen and improving his standard of living in various aspects, including the provision of integrated and comprehensive health care at the highest international levels.
Therefore, we are committed to the effective contribution, and we seek to do so at a confident pace to build a medical edifice at the latest technical and technical levels that contains all units equipped with the latest means of diagnosis and medical and surgical treatment, through a selection of faculty members and their assistants, distinguished doctors in the field, and a homogeneous work team working in an integrated team spirit for The elevation of this edifice and the realization of its vision to be the first locally and regionally in providing medical, educational and research services.
The Ophthalmology Center is proud of having obtained a number of accreditations regarding the quality of medical care, the administrative system and training programs, which reflect positively on the provision of medical service to patients and the provision of educational and research services in the field of specialization, which includes continuing medical education for ophthalmologists from the training of postgraduate students and fellowships, as the center is A center accredited by the International Eye Council as a training center for grants and fellowships offered to ophthalmologists worldwide, as well as for the training of Arab fellowship doctors.
The center also carries out distinguished community participation in presidential initiatives such as the initiative to eliminate waiting lists and 100 million health and decent lives, as well as preparing many medical convoys that aim to increase health awareness and early detection of eye diseases that lead to blindness.
We are still striving to develop and expand in various fields and provide all the patients need, including modern medical equipment or infrastructure that achieves fast and easy service for the largest number of patients.
In conclusion, we hope from God Almighty to grant us the ability to help the sick and treat them, and to be up to the level of trust and responsibility, and to keep this nation safe and secure.
