Mansoura University honors the winners of the first session of the Government Excellence Award
Mansoura University, within the framework of celebrating its golden jubilee, today, Tuesday, April 19, 2022 AD, organized the ceremony of the first session of the University Award for Government Excellence in the conference hall, managed by the university.
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. / Khaled Abdel-Afar - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. / Hala Al-Saeed - Minister of Planning and Economic Development.
In the presence of Prof. Dr. / Ashraf Abdel Basset - President of Mansoura University, Prof. Dr. / Mahmoud El-Meligy - Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Awards Management at the University, Prof. Dr. / Ashraf Tariq Hafez - Vice President for Postgraduate Studies And Research, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi - Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Deans of the University Faculties and their Deans, Directors of Hospitals and Medical Centers at the University, Prof. Osama Musa - Secretary General of the University, Messrs. Assistant Secretaries of the University, Prof. Soha Al-Saeed - Executive Director of the Award Egypt for Governmental Excellence at the Ministry of Planning, Dr. Hoda Ghallab - Head of the internal evaluation teams for the Mansoura University Award for Governmental Excellence affiliated to the Ministry of Planning, a number of faculty members, their assistants and university employees.
Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Basset indicated that a number of colleges in various universities and government institutions submitted to the Ministry of Planning to participate in the first and second rounds of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence. It took a long time to evaluate all these colleges and institutions, which made the ministry urge universities to organize the Excellence Award. Government in categories: faculties, work teams, creativity and innovation within each university and escalating the winners from each category within the university to participate in the next session of the Egypt Award for Governmental Excellence.
He added that what preceded prompted Mansoura University to launch the first session of the University Award for Government Excellence with the aim of spreading the culture of excellence within all sectors of the university. He praised the effort made by all those in charge of organizing and evaluating the University Award for Government Excellence.
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meligy praised the role of the Ministry of Planning in supporting universities and government institutions participating in the Egypt Award for Government Excellence in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development according to Egypt's Vision 2030.
He noted that the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, won the third place, and the university’s website ranked second in the first session of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence. The Professional Development Center at the Faculty of Commerce ranked high in the category of work teams, during which the university's website got the first place
He stated that the application for the first round of the Mansoura University Award for Government Excellence was announced in the three categories: faculties, work teams, creativity and innovation on January 11, 2022, and the training of award residents and ambassadors of excellence during January 14-February 5, and the paper and field evaluation of the participants in the award during February 6-19. Arbitration meetings were held on February 20-24.
He stressed that the evaluation was carried out by representatives of the Ministry of Planning without the university's interference, with the help of the award management team at the university, 20 residents and 60 ambassadors of excellence in the university's faculties.
He referred to the evaluation of 14 colleges, 9 work teams, and 9 projects for creativity and innovation that participated in the Mansoura University Award for Government Excellence, and the escalation of 4 colleges, 5 work teams, and two projects for creativity and innovation to participate in the next session of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence.
Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Basset, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meligy, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumy and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hafez honored the Ministry of Planning's resident team for the Mansoura University Award for Government Excellence, and a number of administrative leaders, the award evaluators team and excellence ambassadors at Mansoura University And the first three winners in the three categories.
The College of Law won the first place in the colleges category, the College of Dentistry came in the second place, and the College of Pharmacy in the third place. The Ophthalmology Center won the third place, and the digital transformation project at the Faculty of Law won the first place in the creativity and innovation category, and the virtual exhibition project for graduation projects of the Faculty of Computers and Information ranked second, and the moot court project at the Faculty of Law ranked third..
